Suspected bandits have kidnapped Hajiya Fatima, wife of Muhammad Swasun, the APC chairman in Sakpefu community, and their daughter Amina. The attack happened late Sunday in Patigi LGA, Kwara State, where gunmen invaded the community, shooting sporadically before escaping with their targets.
The abduction came barely 24 hours after armed men stormed Shagbe in Ifelodun LGA, killing several residents and abducting others. The back-to-back incidents have raised alarm over rising insecurity in Kwara, with residents lamenting the lack of timely security response.
