Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, has announced an immediate ban on the sale of petrol in Bama Local Government Area as part of heightened security measures. The decision was made following intelligence reports linking fuel sales to aiding insurgent activities in the region.
Governor Zulum emphasized that the move is necessary to curb the supply of fuel to terrorist groups operating within the area. Security operatives have been directed to enforce the ban strictly and ensure compliance.
The government is also exploring alternative solutions to minimize the impact on law-abiding residents.
