Gov Mutfwang Unveils Digital Performance Scorecard for Good Governance

Plateau State Governor Barr. Caleb Mutfwang has taken a significant step towards improving transparency and efficiency in governance with the official launch of the State Digital Performance Scorecard System, known as the ‘DASHBOARD’, under the Plateau State Development Framework (PSDF) 2023-2027.

This innovative system is designed to monitor and evaluate the performance of all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) in the state. Governor Mutfwang emphasized the importance of this new digital tool.

“This marks a new dawn in our beloved state as this application is so dear and cardinal in the administration’s efforts to drive progress, efficiency, and effectiveness in government.” He stated

He also announced that Plateau State is only the second entity, following the Presidency, to implement such an advanced performance tracking system.

The Strategy and Results Delivery Office (SRDO) played a crucial role in the creation and implementation of the ‘DASHBOARD’. Governor Mutfwang recognized their contribution, stating, “The SRDO and the development of this App is crucial in a time like this because the world at large is holding on to accountability, transparency, and strategy in planning and results-driven decision-making.”

The newly established Digital Performance Scorecard System aims to provide a detailed overview and track all activities within the state’s MDAs. The system is intended to ensure that policies and programs align with the state’s vision and goals, ultimately enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of public administration.

Governor Mutfwang encouraged all MDAs to embrace this opportunity to promote a culture of accountability and collaborate with the SRDO. He also cautioned against underestimating the importance of the SRDO’s activities.

“Let me also warn that on no account should any ministry or agency underrate the activities of SRDO which aims at ensuring sustainable development through strategic planning, effective implementation, transparency, and ensuring impactful results for Plateau State.” He emphasized.

Also, Engr. Samari Modibo, head of the SRDO, provided an overview of the system, highlighting its key features.

He stated “The MDA Digital Performance Scorecard System is a comprehensive digital solution designed to enhance performance management across MDAs and improve data visibility to inform evidence-based policies for growth and transformation.”

He highlighted key features such as activity tracking, budgeting modules, and a KPI dashboard, noting their potential for increased transparency, efficiency, and stakeholder engagement.

Madibo stressed that this digital initiative is expected to drive transformative excellence and empower MDAs to achieve their highest potential through innovative solutions and a focus on outcomes.
