Former Vice President Alhaji Namadi Sambo has officially defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC), marking a significant shift in Nigeria’s political landscape ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Sambo, who served as Vice President under President Goodluck Jonathan from 2010 to 2015, previously held office as Governor of Kaduna State from 2007 to 2010.
His defection adds to the growing list of prominent PDP figures moving to the ruling APC as political alignments continue to shift.
