Former First Lady Victoria Aguiyi Ironsi, wife of the first military Head of State, late Gen Johnson Thomas Aguiyi- Ironsi has died .
The first military First Lady -Victoria died at the Federal Medical Centre, Umuahia on Monday morning at the age of 97 years. She died 54 years after the demised of her husband General Aguiyi- Ironsi who was killed in a military coup in Ibadan in 1967.
According to a family source, “Lady Aguiyi-Ironsi died at 4am on Monday morning, August 23, 2021, after a prolonged battle with mild stroke at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Umuahia where she was admitted few days ago”.
