Super Eagles head coach, Finidi George, has resigned after a poor run of games in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Finidi’s resignation was confirmed to Channels Television by a top source in the Sports Ministry.
Also, ex-Super Eagles media officer, Toyin Ibitoye, confirmed the resignation of the former Ajax Amsterdam’s forward in a post on X.com on Saturday.

He wrote, “News just in. Finidi George #FinidiGeorge_FG has resigned from his #NGSuperEagles manager position.”
Neither the the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) nor Finidi has commented on this development so far.
