FG Appoints 2Face Idibia as Nigeria’s National Fire Safety Ambassador

The Federal Government has appointed music icon and humanitarian, Innocent “2Face” Idibia, as Nigeria’s National Fire Safety Ambassador.

The announcement was made in Abuja during the closing ceremony of the 2025 National Fire Safety Week, where the Federal Fire Service charged the artiste with leading nationwide advocacy on fire prevention and behavioural change.

The Fire Service noted that 2Face’s influence will help amplify safety campaigns, inspire citizens to adopt preventive habits, and strengthen community awareness across the country.

Officials highlighted a week-long programme that included sensitisation in schools, markets, and major economic areas, roadshows, drills, and support for families of fallen fire officers.

The Service also reaffirmed its commitment to modern training, improved operations, and sustained public engagement.

The Fire Service commended institutions and individuals who demonstrated strong compliance to fire safety standards, urging Nigerians to embrace a culture of caution and preparedness.
