Operatives of the Enugu Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested nine suspected internet fraudsters in Enugu.
They were arrested on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, based on verified intelligence about their suspicious internet-related activities.
The suspects: Victor Odinaka Itodo, Opara Jacob Chukwuanayo, Emmanuel Ozioma Ifeanyi, Ibeh Chisom, Godswill Chiemerie, Okafor Amarachukwu , Victor Chinaecherem Okoro, Franklin Anosike and Itodo Jude Chigozie were allegedly picked up at various locations in coal city while on the act .
A statement signed by Wilson Uwujaren Head, Media & Publicity stated that items recovered from them included five vehicles, 25 mobile phones of different brands and seven laptops.
The anti corruption agency said the suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
