DJ Tunez, personal disc jockey to Wizkid, has downplayed reports of a deep rift between the Afrobeats stars Wizkid and Davido, describing the alleged feud as exaggerated by social media narratives.
Speaking on the Moni Talks podcast, DJ Tunez said Wizkid holds Davido in high regard and is open to working with him, including the possibility of touring together.
“Wizkid has big love for Davido. I’m just hoping we could go on tour together — Starboy and 30BG. That is all we need right now,” he said.
According to him, a collaboration between the two music heavyweights would significantly strengthen the Afrobeats movement globally.
His comments follow past remarks by both artistes, with Wizkid previously teasing a joint tour and Davido also expressing readiness to tour with the ‘Ojuelegba’ singer, signalling renewed hopes of unity between the two camps.
