Former Tottenham coach, Tim Sherwood, says Watford defender William Troost-Ekong’s biggest problem is his decision-making.
Troost-Ekong, who played under Sherwood at Spurs academy, gave away a penalty in stoppage time against Brentford following a rash tackle on Saman Ghoddos.
The error cost Watford a point and saw them lose a fourth straight league game.
“He’s (Troost-Ekong) not going through a good period, at the moment,” said Sherwood.
“He has made a couple of mistakes.
“The one where he ducks under the ball against Leicester and Jamie Vardy is right there behind. A few rash decisions.

“Decision-making has been his problem. I think he has done brilliantly. I had him as a 17-year-old at Tottenham, and to be fair to him, he got released.
“He has gone away. He has had a career and he has had a very good career. But sometimes you have to stop making rash decisions, certainly, with experience, you would expect them to get it out of your system.”
Troost-Ekong has made 15 EPL appearances so far this term and the Hornets are yet to keep a clean sheet with the Nigerian in action.
