Nigerian superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has been officially appointed as the Chairman of the Osun State Sports Trust Fund.
The appointment was announced on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, by the Osun State Government, as part of Governor Ademola Adeleke’s efforts to revitalise and modernise sports development across the state.
According to Deputy Governor Kola Adewusi, who also serves as the Commissioner for Sports, Davido will play a key role in mobilising funds and attracting private investments to upgrade sports facilities, including the ongoing rehabilitation of the Osogbo Township Stadium to Olympic standards.
The government added that the initiative reflects its commitment to youth empowerment and sustainable sports growth.
