Celebrating a multi-project FCT STDD workaholic

The scriptures teaches us that there’s a time for everything.

It is with this in mind that I and the entire staff of the Satellite Towns Development Department (STDD) with great pleasure extend warmest wishes to Engr. Nathaniel Edor, the Director of Regional Infrastructure, on the occasion of his retirement and birthday.

Engr. Edor is a lucky man in STDD ‘s history of the having witnessed the flagging off of over 15 project contracts and the commissioning of six projects at a stretch, all without rest.

His tenure has been marked by unprecedented success, and he has had the privilege of working with the Honorable Minister of FCT, Barrister Nyesom Wike, and the Coordinator, STDD, Hon. Abdulkadir Zulkiflu, on multiple projects awarded to FCT satellite towns, paving the way for even more projects to come.

Engr. Edor is a man of remarkable character. Fondly referred to as “Mr. No Problem”, he has a unique ability to see problems as mere obstacles, and his response to any challenge is always a reassuring “no problem, I will see to it.” His dedication to his work is unwavering, and he is a man who gets things done, regardless of whose ox is gored.

He is a true leader in his own way, and his philosophy is simple: you can’t please everyone, so he focuses on doing his best without worrying about what others may think.

As civil servants, we all have our working policies, which may favor some staff but not others. It’s a normal phenomenon, and we’ve all learned to navigate through it.

Sir, we celebrate with you today, we are happy to see the success of this day, and we are praying and wish you a very wonderful and happy retirement.

This is a small world, and we may or may not have the opportunity to work with you again. We all know you as a very peaceful person who is wary of trouble, but it’s normal that we may have offended one another knowingly or unknowingly in some way, and no doubt you may have done the same, but as the saying goes, “to err is human,” and so we ask for forgiveness.

It has been a pleasure to work with Engr. Edor, and I must say a boss /colleague. You have done your part, and now it’s time for you to enjoy the fruits of your labor while others continue where you have stopped.

On behalf of all the staff of STDD, we wish Engr.Nathaniel Edor a very wonderful retirement life, one that is stress-free and filled with happiness.

Engr. Nathaniel, I want to acknowledge your strong faith and dedication to your Christian values. You are always in action before 6am, on your way to early mass, whenever there is a call to you at that time for an official work ( the reply is always “am in Church but will get back as soon as possible”, this demonstrate your commitment to your spiritual well-being.

May the Almighty God see you through the rest of your life to eternity, guiding and protecting you every step of the way. May your retirement be filled with joy, peace, and happiness, and may God’s blessings be upon you always.

May your future be filled with joy, and contentment, and may you always be remembered as a great man who made a significant impact on the Satellite Towns Development Department.

Congratulations to Engr. Nathaniel on this Golden Tenure and a well-deserved Retirement, we celebrate your numerous achievements.

Congratulations, Sir, and happy retirement!
