Team Ogun’s male football team has edged out Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets with a 2-1 victory at the 22nd National Sports Festival.
The impressive win secures Ogun State a place in the final, where they will face Kwara State, who narrowly defeated Kaduna State 1-0 in the second semi-final held at the practice pitch.
The highly anticipated final match is scheduled for Tuesday at 6pm at the refurbished MKO Abiola Sports Arena in Abeokuta, following a recent adjustment to the venues for the football fixtures.
Ogun State will be aiming to cap off a strong tournament performance with gold on home soil.
