The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has identified the young woman found dead under suspicious circumstances in a Gwarinpa hotel as Aladi Johnson, popularly known as Tessy, a native of Benue State.
According to SP Josephine Adeh, spokesperson for the FCT Police, preliminary investigations show that Tessy checked into the hotel on June 16 with an unidentified man, who was later seen leaving the premises alone.
“The lady checked into the hotel in the company of an unidentified male who was later observed to have exited the premises without her,” said Adeh.
Hotel staff discovered the victim unconscious with her hands tied behind her during a routine room check and immediately alerted authorities.
The investigation into the cause of death and the identity of the male suspect is ongoing. Police urge anyone with relevant information to come forward.
