The Edo State Government has reportedly demolished the national headquarters of the Neo Black Movement (NBM), also known as “AYE,” located in Benin City.
The move is believed to be part of an intensified crackdown on cultism and illegal groups operating within the state.
Eyewitnesses say the demolition was carried out with heavy security presence to forestall any resistance.
NBM, often linked to cult-related violence, has been under scrutiny for years. Authorities have yet to issue an official statement on the demolition, but the action has sparked wide reactions across social media and local communities.
