The Federal Government has ended passport production at multiple centres, introducing a single, centralised system for the first time since 1963.
Interior Minister Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo said the new Central Passport Personalisation Centre in Abuja can produce 4,500–5,000 passports daily, compared to the old 250–300 limit.
