Real Madrid have officially confirmed the signing of England international Trent Alexander-Arnold from Liverpool on a six-year contract, marking the end of his illustrious Anfield career.
The 26-year-old right-back will be tied to the Spanish giants from June 1, 2025, to June 30, 2031, as announced by the club in a statement published on Friday.
“Real Madrid C.F. and Liverpool FC have reached an agreement for Trent Alexander-Arnold, who will be linked to our club for the next six seasons,” the club wrote.
Alexander-Arnold leaves Liverpool with nine major trophies, including, 2 Premier League titles, 1 UEFA Champions League, 1 FIFA Club World Cup, 1 UEFA Super Cup, 1 FA Cup, 2 EFL Cups, 1 FA Community Shield
A product of Liverpool’s academy, Alexander-Arnold became a fan favourite for his creativity, leadership, and technical brilliance. He debuted for England in 2018 and has featured in the 2018 and 2022 World Cups, as well as UEFA Euro 2024.
His individual honours include, FIFA FIFPro World 11 (2020), UEFA Champions League Team of the Season (2018/19, 2021/22), Premier League Team of the Season (2018/19, 2019/20, 2021/22), Premier League Young Player of the Season (2019/20).
He is expected to join Real Madrid’s squad for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup in the United States, starting June 14.
