Bariga LCDA Renames Charly Boy Bus Stop After Olamide, Honors Other Entertainers and Leaders

The Bariga Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in Lagos State has renamed the iconic Charly Boy Bus Stop to Baddo Bus Stop in honour of indigenous rap star and YBNL boss, Olamide Adedeji. This change was announced on Friday by LCDA Chairman, Kolade Alabi David, during the commissioning of several infrastructure projects within the council.

According to the chairman, the decision is part of a broader initiative to celebrate individuals who have positively projected Bariga and Lagos on both national and global platforms. In line with this, Ajidagan Street has been officially renamed Olamide Adedeji Baddo Street, leading to the adjoining bus stop being changed from Charly Boy to Baddo Bus Stop.

Other notable renamings include Ilaje Road to Sunny Ade Road, Ifeanyi Street to 9ice Street, Community Road Akoka to Babajide Sanwo-Olu Road, Bariga Road to Bola Ahmed Tinubu Road, and Ayodele Street to Tony Tetuila Street.
