Arsenal have reached a verbal agreement worth €73.5 million with Sporting CP for Swedish striker Viktor Gyökeres, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. The deal reportedly includes a €63.5m upfront fee plus €10m in add-ons.
Gyökeres, who has scored an impressive 97 goals in 102 matches, is set to sign a five-year contract with the Gunners. His departure follows tensions with the Sporting board. In a move to facilitate the transfer, the player’s agent has agreed to reduce his commission, further smoothing negotiations.
The deal is now awaiting final documents and medical tests before becoming official.
