The Director General Atiku campaign Organization and Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal has accused the All Progressives Congress, APC,of planning discord in the country by its choice of Muslim, Muslim ticket.
Tambuwal who made the remark on Monday at Flag off of People Democratic Party, PDP, rally in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State capital described Atiku as the in coming President. He said Atiku and Okowa ticket is the most competent presidential candidate in the race for Aso Villa.
“Atiku,Okowa have the capacity and in term of characteristic of the country they offered the best representation, he told the large crowd, adding that “other party did not represent the characteristic of the country.
In a veil reference to the ruling party, All Progressives Congress, APC, Tambuwal said that by their choice of Presidential candidate and Vice Presidential candidate the party is planning discord in the country.
Former Vice President and the Presidential candidate of People Democratic Party (PDP) today October 10, 2022 kick off its presidential election campaigns in Uyo ,Akwa Ibom State capital that witnessed the largest crowds of party supporters since the campaign was lifted on September 28..
However, as expected, the colourful flag off campaign was boycutted by five state governors elected on platform of PDP led by Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State , Gov. Okezie Ipeazu of Abia state, Gov Sam Ortom Benue State,Gov.Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State.
The governors and allies are demanding the resignation of PDP National Chairman Prof Iyorchia Ayu who had renegade on his promise to resign if a Northern candidate emerged as party flag bearer.
Wike group have insisted that Ayu resignation will balance the loop sided leadership posts in the party between the North and South parts of the country.
Speaking at the rally on Monday, Atiku Abubakar said that the country had degenerated from the position the PDP left the country in 2015 to points where the economy, security, education, health and other sectors have collapsed.
He said that a vote for PDP and himself will restore the country economy, the worsen insecurity situation in the country, collapsed education , health and other dilapidated sectors back to normalcy.
Atiku who seem overwhelmed by the large crowd said ” I love you, Akwa – Ibom State” just as he asked repeatedly each segment of the crowd whether they will vote PDP.
Speaking on behalf of the Governors Darius Ishaku of Taraba state also told the rally that Atiku government will restore security, economy, school back if elected.
Acting Chairman of PDP Board of Trustees Adolphus Wanbara said all Nigerians were represented at the rally and that PDP is presenting a unifyer in person of Atiku.
There is a vacancy in the villa which he must occupied with your votes .He equated the crowd at the Uyo Stadium with audience at World Cup football match adding that Atiku is the only presidential candidate that have presented his programmes to the public.
