The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced a change of venue for its highly anticipated National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, now scheduled to hold at the Presidential Villa in Abuja Thursday 24 July 2025.
The meeting, originally billed for the APC National Secretariat, is expected to feature major decisions, including the possible selection of a new national chairman to replace Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje.
According to party insiders, the shift to the Presidential Villa signifies the importance of the gathering and the involvement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who is expected to attend alongside other top stakeholders.
Sources also disclosed that the Villa setting offers enhanced security and privacy as critical internal party issues will be addressed.
The NEC meeting comes at a time of increased political realignment within the ruling party, with recent defections from opposition parties bolstering the APC’s numbers in the National Assembly.
Party faithful and observers alike are watching closely, as the outcome may determine the trajectory of the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.
