The Anambra State PDP Elders Council has cautioned the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party against any attempt to dissolve the duly elected state executives. Meeting at the residence of elder statesman Senator Ben Ndi Obi, the council stressed that there is neither a lawsuit nor a protest challenging the outcome of the state congress held late last year.
In a communiqué signed by Chief Felix Oli and Dr. Odili Ojukwu, the council commended the executives for maintaining peace and inclusiveness within the party. They warned that destabilizing the structure could be misinterpreted as an effort to weaken internal cohesion ahead of the November 2025 governorship election and the party’s National Convention.
The elders further described rumors of legal action as false, urging the NWC and Governors’ Forum to exercise caution against manipulative influences. They praised the Damagun-led NWC for conducting what they described as the “most transparent and successful congress” in Anambra PDP’s history, insisting that any disruption would invite unnecessary conflict and instability.
