Ahmed Musa Appointed General Manager of Kano Pillars FC by Governor Yusuf

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has reconstituted the management board of Kano Pillars Football Club, appointing former Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa, as the club’s new General Manager. The appointment is part of the government’s strategic move to reposition the team ahead of the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

Ahmed Musa, who previously played for Kano Pillars before launching a successful international career, is expected to bring his wealth of experience, leadership, and global appeal to the club. His appointment has sparked excitement among fans and stakeholders who believe it will attract fresh investments and raise the club’s profile.

The newly reconstituted board, led by Chairman Ali Muhammad Umar (Nayara), comprises 17 members, including returning figures from the previous administration. The move follows the club’s 9th-place finish last season, with hopes high for a stronger performance under the new leadership structure.
