Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has officially joined the Accord Party, days after announcing his exit from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He made the declaration on Tuesday at the Government House Banquet Hall, alongside national and state leaders of the party.
Adeleke revealed that he joined the Accord Party on November 6 to pursue his second-term bid in 2026, saying the party’s philosophy of welfarism aligns with his administration’s focus on citizens’ and workers’ welfare.
He added that the decision followed weeks of consultations with stakeholders across Osun State.
The governor assured supporters that Accord Party will provide a united platform to continue delivering good governance. He emphasized his commitment to inclusive leadership and pledged to sustain development across all zones of the state as he seeks re-election.
