ADC Suspends South-South Vice Chairman Usani Over Anti-Party Activities

The African Democratic Congress has suspended its National Vice Chairman (South-South), Dr. Usani Usani, over actions the party described as capable of undermining its unity and progress. The suspension, which takes immediate effect, followed deliberations at a meeting of the Cross River State Working Committee held on October 15, 2025.

According to the State Publicity Secretary, James Otudor, the committee found Usani’s conduct to be in violation of the ADC constitution and inconsistent with its core values. He also criticized the appointment of Ms. Jackie Wayas as Deputy National Publicity Secretary, citing lack of consultation and poor engagement with the Cross River leadership since assuming office.

The party further directed all coalition leaders and intending members to complete their registration at the ward level within seven days or risk exclusion from party activities. It reaffirmed loyalty to the national leadership, urging members to remain calm and law-abiding as the disciplinary process takes its course.
