The founder and Chancellor of Afe Babalola University ( ABUAD), Aare Afe Babalola,SAN,CON,OFR,LL.D, honoured Dr Mike Ozekhome,SAN, with a surprised well decorated birthday cake shortly after the 10th Convocation lecture on October 2022.
Ozekhome, a legal luminary like his host, delivered the 10th Convocation lecture of the Afe Babalola University ( ABUAD), Ado Ekiti.
He had in an insightful well researched 83 page lecture titled “THE PLACE OF EDUCATION IN A CRISIS-RIDDEN NIGERIA” proffered solutions to the country troubled education.
Ozekhome who spoke passionately on the topic received resounding ovations.
To his surprised, Aare Afe Babalola the founder and Chancellor of , ABUAD , presented him with a well decorated birthday cake. as his wife, lady ( Bar) Josephine, his sons, Bars Oshomha and Osilama and the mammoth crowd of friends, well wishers,students, staff of ABUAD and traditional rulers present watched with admiration .
The cutting of the cake and rendition of songs were led and supervised by former Nigerian President,Olusegun Obasanjo, GCFR.
Ozekhome was awarded the LL.D Doctorate degree (HC),along with former Governor of Ekiti State, Chief Segun Oni and the Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Garba Elkanemi during the 10th Convocation of ABUAD.
