Troops of the Nigerian Army have intercepted two pickup vans conveying items suspected to be logistics supplies for the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) in Borno State.
The operation was reportedly carried out following actionable intelligence on insurgent supply movements.
According to Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency publication covering the Lake Chad region, the vehicles were intercepted along the DapchiโMagumeri axis after human intelligence revealed plans to transport the items to ISWAP elements operating in the area.
Security agencies are said to be investigating further to identify those behind the movement.
