Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has named his final 28-man squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, with some big calls shaping up to define Nigeria’s campaign.
Veteran goalkeeper Francis Uzoho earns a recall to the squad, while towering striker Paul Onuachu also makes the cut as part of the attacking options.
One of the most talked-about decisions is the omission of Maduka Okoye, the Udinese goalkeeper who had been expected to feature despite recent strong club form.
Alongside Uzoho and Onuachu, Stanley Nwabali and Amos Obasogie are among those selected between the posts, giving Chelle a blend of experience and depth ahead of the tournament.
