The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Alpha Jet pilots have been hailed as heroes after they safely ejected from their aircraft following an in-flight emergency.
He said the emergency occurred during a post-inspection test flight at Nigerian Air Force Base Kainji on Saturday.

disclosed this in a statement on Saturday said the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sunday Aneke commended the high level of courage, discipline and professionalism displayed by the pilots.
“The pilots expertly manoeuvred the aircraft away from populated areas before executing a safe ejection,” the NAF said in a statement.
The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, lauded the pilots for their “courage, discipline, and sound judgement, which prevented loss of life.”
“The crew is currently undergoing routine medical evaluation,” the statement added.
The incident is now under investigation, with a Board of Inquiry set up to probe the cause of the emergency.
