Terry Slams Chelsea After Costly Defeat At Leeds

Former Chelsea captain John Terry has criticised the Blues for a lacklustre display in their 3–1 Premier League loss to Leeds United on Wednesday night. The defeat dealt a major blow to Chelsea’s title ambitions, leaving them nine points behind leaders Arsenal.

Terry, speaking in a TikTok video, said the team failed to match Leeds’ intensity, especially in the first half when Jaka Bijol and Ao Tanaka put the hosts firmly in control. Although Pedro Neto pulled one back after the break, a defensive lapse allowed Dominic Calvert-Lewin to restore Leeds’ two-goal cushion.

The club legend expressed disappointment that Chelsea followed two “unbelievable performances” with what he described as an unworthy display from a supposed title-chasing team. He warned that inconsistency of this level will make it impossible for the Blues to compete at the top of the table.
