Shettima Arrives Bauchi for Burial of Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi

Vice President Kashim Shettima arrived on Friday at the Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport, Bauchi, to represent President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the funeral prayer of the late Islamic scholar, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi.

The revered cleric passed away on Thursday, drawing thousands of sympathisers, religious leaders, and senior government officials for his burial, which will be conducted according to Islamic rites.

Shettima led a high-profile federal delegation that included the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu; Minister of Information, Idris Mohammed; Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Ali Pate; and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar.

Other dignitaries present at the funeral are Senator Abdul’aziz Yari, Senator Shehu Buba, and former Bauchi State Governor Ahmed Mu’azu.
