Bauchi witnessed an extraordinary surge of mourners on Friday as tens of thousands travelled from across Nigeria to honour the late Islamic scholar, Sheikh Dahiru Usman-Bauchi.
The influx began before dawn, turning the city into a major pilgrimage point as followers, students, and religious leaders gathered for his Jana’iza.
The state government declared a work-free day to allow residents attend, underscoring the cleric’s towering influence within the Muslim community.
