FG Explains Why Kwara Kidnappers Weren’t Arrested After Falz’s Criticism

The Federal Government has responded to rapper Falz’s concerns over the non-arrest of terrorists who abducted 38 worshippers in Eruku, Kwara State. President Tinubu confirmed their rescue, noting he cancelled his trip to the G20 Summit to coordinate the operation.

The attack happened during a thanksgiving service for members previously kidnapped. Bandits invaded the church, killed three worshippers, and later demanded ₦100 million ransom per victim, sparking national outrage.

Falz questioned why no arrests were made, prompting a reply from the Inspector General of Police. The IG said the bandits were not arrested because they “came out voluntarily for a peace talk,” a response that has triggered widespread criticism.
