Nigerian singer Omah Lay has expressed excitement over his first-ever Grammy nomination but revealed that he is more interested in seeing Davido win.
Omah Lay earned a nod in the Best African Music Performance category for his collaboration with Davido on the hit song “With You.” Sharing his thoughts on Instagram, he said:
I’m excited about this Grammy nomination haha but fr fr I don’t give a sh!t about awards. Yeah but I really want it for OBO! He is the realest friend I’ve had in a while; he stood by me during my hardest times.”
Davido, who has received four Grammy nominations so far, is yet to win the coveted award. The 68th Grammy Awards will take place on February 1, 2026, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
