New Group MD/Chief Executive Officer of Navy Holdings Limited Rear Admiral Ibrahim assumes duty

Rear Admiral Hamza Ibrahim has assumed duty as the 12th Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Navy Holdings Limited.

The formal handing and taking over ceremony between the outgoing and incoming Group Managing Directors/CEO (GMD/CEO) of Navy Holdings Limited (NHL) was held on 7 November 2025.

A statement by Commander Abdulsalam Sani the Group Pubic Relations/Information Officer Navy Holdings Limited said the event marked a significant milestone in the history of NHL as Rear Admiral Zakariya Shaku Muhammad, the outgoing GMD/CEO officially handed over the mantle of leadership to Rear Admiral Hamza brahim, the incoming GMD/CEO following the completion of a successful tenure.

In his farewell remarks, the outgoing GMD/CEO Rear Admiral ZS Muhammad, expressed his gratitude to the Board of Directors, management, and staff of NHL for their support and cooperation during his tenure. He highlighted key achievements recorded under his leadership, including growth in operational efficiency, expansion of investment portfolios and the strengthening of corporate governance frameworks within the organisation. He urged the incoming GMD/CEO to sustain the momentum and build on the progress made.

In his maiden remarks, the new GMD/CEO Rear Admiral Hamza Ibrahim, thanked the Chief of Naval Staff for the confidence reposed in him. He commended his predecessor for his visionary leadership and assured that he would consolidate on the existing gains while exploring new opportunities for growth and innovation.

The event was attended by Managing Directors and Chief Executive Officers of the NHL subsidiaries, senior officers and other distinguished guests.
