Dangote Group has dismissed reports linking it to a truck involved in a recent road accident at Akungba-Akoko, Ondo State.
According to the company, verified registration details confirmed that the truck (Plate No. JJJ 365 XB) is owned and operated by an independent logistics company with no affiliation to Dangote Group. The truck was reportedly transporting crushed stones in reused sacks, not Dangote products.
Dangote emphasized that all its trucks are properly branded, tracked, and operated by trained personnel under strict safety and compliance standards.
While sympathizing with victims of the accident, the company urged the public and media to verify information before attributing ownership to Dangote. It also appealed to journalists to refrain from using images of Dangote-branded trucks in unrelated incidents.
Dangote Group reaffirmed its commitment to road safety, regulatory compliance, and responsible corporate practices across Nigeria and beyond.
