Africa’s representation at the FIFA 2026 World Cup has been confirmed, with six nations securing their places at the global football tournament.
The qualified teams are Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Algeria, Ghana, and Cabo Verde — with Cabo Verde making history as the new entrant and smallest African nation ever to qualify for the World Cup.
The 2026 edition, jointly hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, will feature an expanded 48-team format, giving more African countries a shot on the world stage.
