The Chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC,Prof. Mahmood Yakubu on Tuesday hand over the affairs of the commission to Mrs May Agbamuche- Mbu .
Just as Prof Yakubu begins his terminal leave on Tuesday after serving out his maximum 10 years of two term tenure
during which he conducted two General elections in 2019 and 2023.
He handed over during the INEC’s Third Quarterly meeting with Resident Electoral Commissioners (RECs) at the INEC Headquarters, Abuja.
Mrs. May Agbamuche-Mbu, now serve in Acting capacity as Chairman pending the appointment of a substantive successor..
