The Nigeria Police Force has clarified that it has not been officially served with the court order halting the enforcement of the tinted glass permit directive. The clarification follows a ruling by the Federal High Court in Warri directing the police to maintain the status quo pending judicial proceedings.
Reacting to reports shared by human rights lawyer Inibehe Effiong on X, Force Public Relations Officer Benjamin Hundeyin stated that while the police acknowledge the court’s decision, they are yet to be formally served. He further noted that certain portions of the ruling, including point number eight which refused some reliefs, were omitted in public discussions.
Hundeyin urged Nigerians to avoid misinformation and wait for due legal communication before drawing conclusions on the enforcement of the policy.#Judiciary #RuleOfLaw
