NBC Expands Youth Empowerment Programme

The Nigerian Bottling Company Ltd. (NBC) has launched the 2025 edition of its flagship Youth Empowered programme, starting with a national tour in Kaduna on September 29–30, 2025.

Now in its eighth year, the initiative—introduced in 2017—has trained thousands of young Nigerians in entrepreneurship, career development, leadership, and digital literacy. NBC had set a bold goal of reaching one million youths by 2025, a milestone it has already surpassed.

According to Soromidayo George, NBC’s Corporate Affairs and Sustainability Director, the programme reflects the company’s consistent investment in Nigeria’s socioeconomic development. The 2025 edition will feature interactive workshops, mentorship, and business skill-building, with stops across Ondo, Port Harcourt, Edo, Benue, Niger, Jos, and Delta States after Kaduna.

Earlier in 2025, NBC also sponsored select participants for a culinary masterclass, awarding three winners ₦1m each to expand their businesses, while ten others secured internship placements within NBC.

Through Youth Empowered, NBC aims to equip Nigerian youths with the tools, confidence, and exposure to thrive in careers, business, and personal development—strengthening the country’s human capital and positioning the next generation as innovators and leaders.
