The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has withdrawn all park licenses in Abuja, ordering operators to resubmit documents for fresh screening and possible reallocation.
The directive follows reports of widespread policy and land-use violations in park management across the capital, according to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
FCTA Director of Development Control, Mukhtar Galadima, explained that licenses may be restored only to operators who comply with the required terms and conditions. He emphasized that the decision is not a witch-hunt but a necessary step to enforce legality, ensure compliance with urban policies, and restore order in the management of parks within the city.
