Nigerian singer, Reekado Banks, has revealed that his decision to exit Mavin Records in 2018 was taken prematurely. The award-winning artiste disclosed this during an interview with reality star, Teddy A, on the Echoo Room.
Banks, who gained fame under the Don Jazzy-led label and won the Next Rated award at The Headies 2015, said he only realised the challenges of his exit when he had to manage the business side of music on his own.
He clarified that his departure was not due to any dispute but a personal choice. According to him, his three-year contract had expired two years earlier, and instead of renewing, he chose to move on after five years with the label.
