Former American baseball player David Justice has opened up about the reasons behind his divorce from Hollywood actress Halle Berry.
Speaking on the All the Smoke podcast with Matt Barnes, Justice said Berry did not do house chores and lacked motherly instincts, which made him question their future together.
“As a Midwest guy, I was thinking a wife should cook, clean, and be ready to build a family. At that time, she didn’t cook, didn’t clean, and didn’t seem motherly,” he said, adding that their marriage might have been saved if he had known about therapy back then.
Justice, who married Berry on January 1, 1993, and divorced her in 1997, denied being the cause of the breakup, saying Berry was “dead wrong” for making the world believe otherwise. He has been married to Rebecca Justice for 24 years, while Berry is currently in a long-term relationship with musician Van Hunt.
