Super Eagles veteran Ahmed Musa has confirmed he will remain an active player for Kano Pillars FC while also serving as the club’s General Manager.
Musa’s appointment as GM was officially announced on July 7, 2025, and just days later, the club confirmed he will also lace up his boots for the 2025/2026 NPFL season.
In his words during the unveiling:
“This is not just an appointment; it’s a mission to bring Kano Pillars back to the top where it belongs. I will give my best both on and off the pitch.”
Musa becomes the first active player-manager in modern NPFL history, blending experience, leadership, and tactical involvement.
His return could boost fan engagement, commercial interest, and team morale for the four-time NPFL champions.
Musa previously played for the club in 2009–2010, where he set a record for most goals in a single NPFL season at just 17 years old.
