The meeting of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) slated for Wadata Plaza’s headquarters of the main opposition party has again suffered a setback.
During a visit by Blueprint correspondent, men of the Nigerian Police and the Civil Defence were on the ground to ensure that security was not breached.
There were also partial cordoning of adjoining roads leading to the party secretariat.
A source within PDP told Blueprint correspondent the security operatives’ presence stemmed from factionalisation that has greeted the party’s activities lately.
Blueprint reports that two different factions before now issued different statements ahead of scheduled Monday June 30, 2025 100th NEC meeting.
