Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has reached a personal agreement with Saudi Pro League giants Al Hilal, but the much-anticipated transfer is still on hold as Napoli stand firm on their €75 million valuation.
According to Sky Sports Italy, Osimhen has accepted the proposed salary package from the Saudi club, signaling his willingness to make the move.
However, the deal hinges on whether both clubs can agree on the final transfer fee.
“The Nigerian striker has, in fact, found an agreement with the Arab club regarding the salary he would receive. However, an agreement between the two clubs is still missing,” the report noted.
Al Hilal, who recently appointed Simone Inzaghi as their new head coach, have reportedly raised their offer to €70 million, but Napoli have yet to soften their stance.
Osimhen, who scored 17 goals in Serie A last season despite injury setbacks, remains one of Europe’s most sought-after strikers, and Napoli are keen on maximizing his value after extending his contract last year with a hefty release clause.
Should the deal go through, Osimhen would join a growing list of top African and European stars heading to the Saudi Pro League in recent transfer windows.
