The 69th edition of the Ballon d’Or, football’s most prestigious individual accolade, will be held on Monday, September 22, 2025, at the iconic Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris.
This announcement was made by France Football, the event’s organizer, Monday May 19, 2025 .  
The ceremony will honor outstanding achievements in football over the past season, with awards including:
Men’s and Women’s Ballon d’Or
Kopa Trophy (best young player)
Yashin Trophy (best goalkeeper)
Gerd Müller Trophy (top scorer)
Johan Cruyff Trophy (best coach)
Club of the Year
Sócrates Award (for social impact)   
Notably, this year’s ceremony will feature an expanded recognition of women’s football, with all existing trophies also being awarded to female players .
Nominees for the various categories will be announced in early August 2025.
