Ondo State has successfully airlifted 316 Muslim pilgrims to Saudi Arabia as part of the first batch for the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage.
The departure took place from Akure Airport, with the pilgrims expressing joy and gratitude for the opportunity to perform the sacred Islamic rites in Mecca and Medina.
The state government, in collaboration with the Ondo State Muslim Welfare Board, ensured proper arrangements for the smooth transportation and welfare of the pilgrims. Officials confirmed that subsequent batches would be airlifted in the coming days.
