The Director-General of a support group, Sanwo-Olu Ambassadors, Alhaja Tai Elemesho-Okesanjo has felicitated Muslims on the 2024 Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
In her message from Saudi Arabia, she enjoined Muslims to reflect the Ramadan fasting lessons and prayed for their worship to be acceptable before God, “Almighty Allah (SWT) would accept our sacrifices as true act of (Ibadah) worship and keep us all alive and healthy to witness many more.
“I also encourage all Muslims to make the remaining months of the year joyful by continuing in the way of love and kindness with community service as it was done in all days during the Ramadan fast.”
Alhaja Tai, otherwise known as Montai who plays big in construction business both in Lagos and across Nigeria further urged citizens to use the season to promote national integration.
“Having had the period for reflection, re-commitment and prayer for our wellbeing as a people, it is my hope that beyond this period, we will continue to pray for the security, peace and prosperity of our nation.
”We must focus on ensuring the progress of Nigeria and her budding democracy by ensuring that only those who have our collective interests are given the privilege of leadership. My appeal also goes to all Nigerians to broaden their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all our State Governors, especially Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu so that they can deliver the dividends of democracy to the citizenry.
Recall, Alhaja Tai played significant roles in the build up to the 2023 Presidential and Governorship elections. Her group Sanwo-Olu Ambassadors was amongst the first group that started Tinubu and Sanwo-Olu Campaign right ahead of any other support groups in Lagos.
She was equally a member of President Tinubu Presidential Campaign Council Leadership Committee in 2023.
