21 Players Arrive Ahead of World Cup Playoffs

Ahead of Nigeria’s crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers (CAF Playoffs), 21 Super Eagles players are already in camp as preparations intensify for the double-header against Gabon and DR Congo.

Among those present are key regulars such as Alex Iwobi, Wilfred Ndidi, William Troost-Ekong, Calvin Bassey, Moses Simon, and Ademola Lookman. Goalkeepers Stanley Nwabali and Amas Obasogie have also joined up with the squad.

Other arrivals include Samuel Chukwueze, Akor Adams, Chidera Ejuke, Bright Osayi-Samuel, and Raphael Onyedika, while defenders Semi Ajayi, Chidozie Awaziem, Benjamin Frederick, Zaidu Sanusi, and Bruno Onyemaechi have also checked in.

New faces like Olakunle Olusegun and Tolu Arokodare are expected to compete for attacking roles as the team continues full training sessions.

According to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Media Department, three more players are expected to join camp later today.

The Super Eagles will face Gabon before taking on DR Congo as they fight for a place in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
